Dittons Skiff & Punting Club Activities
The club offers a wide range of club activities such as skiffing and punting training for all ages.
Monday
Punting training from 5.30 pm onwards – Easter to October
Tuesday
Club skiffing from 6pm onwards either in set crews or once trained turn up and see who’s around!
During the winter months circuits are run in the club room – 7pm start (sharp). All are welcome.
The bar is open and dinner is provided on a volunteer rota basis afterwards from 8.30 pm.
Thursday
Club skiffing from 6pm onwards, punting from 5.30 to 7 pm
Friday
Friday morning skiffing is for those who enjoy a social skiff followed by tea and biscuits. Please turn up by 9.15am to help get boats out.
Saturday
Bridge to Bridge – October to July – Start time 9.45 am.
B to B is an excellent way to improve your skiffing (rowing) skills. Crews are ‘mix and match’ and organised on the day – just turn up and put your peg on the board. The race (slowest starts first, fastest last) is a run from from Hampton Court Bridge to Kingston Bridge This is followed by a lovely tea in the club room again supplied on a volunteer rota basis.
Sunday
Singles and coxless doubles race – 8am. This is a timed race from Hampton Court Bridge, round Ravens Ait and back to Thames Ditton Marina – about 25 – 30 minutes.
Juniors including skiffing and in the summer months only punting – 9.50 am – 12pm.
Please note that whilst members are allowed to boat at other times there are various safety rules in place which must be adhered to at all times.
